Cincinnati Pictures

It wasn't able to get many shots in Ohio, because there was Nazi security where I was sitting. But oh well, I got two smashing shots of Justin and I met Greame and the girls after the show at the bar at the Westin. It was a good weekend. OK, it was a weird weekend.

And my two shots from the show before the security went all Nazi on us.

Random Photo Goodness

I can't believe I haven't been through all the shots I took in Pittsburgh two weeks ago. So to tide you over until I have pictures from Cincinnati of the town and the concert (hopefully) I'll post some randomness of the flower show and Pittsburgh.

Every Sunday they have chamber music in the afternoons at Phipps. It's a lot better than when they had a bad Latin band singing La Bamba last summer.

There's always one shot of the Cathedral of Learning (AKA the big penis in the sky)

Fountains and the Mon River, what more can a girl ask for?

OK, a lot more, but this is Pittsburgh, you can't have everything!

Fountains and Waterfalls

Oh my! Water is one of my favorite things to photograph, and thankfully there's enough fountains and whatnot that I'm eternally amused.

Lovely Yellows

I mentioned yesterday that yellow was one of the primary colors found at that fall flower show at Phipps, and yes, I do have more pictures. I took well over 200 pictures at my last jaunt to Pittsburgh.

So here are some of the beautiful yellow flowers that I saw when last I was there. I hope you enjoy them.

A Sea Of Orange

I was going through my photos from the flower show again, and I noticed that a few colors stood out amongst the flowers. Fuschia, Yellow and Orange were the popular colors at this show.

I've really got to order prints soon. I have a zillion photos on my computer and I've not made any prints recently except my Moody Blues shots from NJ this summer. (And then I only made about 12)

Phipps

It's always about the beautiful arrangements of flowers at Phipps. Sometimes I have to marvel at how people come up with the designs. The bee in the Discovery Garden is a favorite of mine. There's actually two of them in that garden a duck and some scrubbery decked out to look like gardeners.

Freaky Flowers

I took these two shots while strolling through Wheeling today. I haven't a clue as to what kind of flowers they are, but they were definitely eyecatching.

Anyone out there know what they are?

Gene & Boots

Well the candy craving got to be too much for me and we went to Gene & Boots in Perryopolis to see the big candy store up close. There are several of these shops in the area, one in downtown Charleroi on Mon too, but I've always wanted to go to the big store in Perryopolis, so off we went.

The outside is so adorable.

And inside...Mmmmm

But wait there's more....

We all know how I love chocolate covered pretzels.

And let's not forget the fudge! My flavors of choice are peanut butter and chocolate.

And customizing your M & M's is the greatest thing!

Roasted nuts! Yummy!

And these novelty candies are just so cute.

I'm hungry now. I think I'm going to go eat some of the chocolate I bought.

Chocolate = Heaven

Last Sunday when we went to Pittsburgh, we discovered a candy shop at Station Square. Now I know it's been there for ages, but this is the first time I've actually tried some of the candy.

Lordy! I should have bought some ages ago. The peanutbutter filled chocolate covered pretzel was pure heaven.

And just look at the other delicious treats they offer.

How could you resist these treats?

I know I was having trouble resisting. The only thing that stopped me from buying more was the price tags!
