The Windfarm in Mill Run, PA is located on top of Big Jim Mountain. Right below the first few windmills just happens to be a dairy farm. (And we all know how much cows like to have their picture taken!)

The Robin and the Finch

I took these through the kitchen window while I was kitty sitting this weekend. I don't think I 've ever seen such a lovely finch before. I was also surprised at how well the robin photographed even though it was at quite a distance.

Wildflowers

My mother likes to randomly plant things, or rather randomly throw seeds into our garden. You never know what may show up in our yard.

This year, I found these growing amongst all the plants I put in.



I don't have a clue what kind of flower it is, but it's sure pretty.

Poor Little Baby

I hate when baby birds get tossed out of the nest. I'm inevitably the one that finds them. This little guy was in my grandma's yard yesterday, all cute and fluffy. I tried to feed it some bread, but it was still to young to eat solid food.




Sadly the little guy didn't make it through the night. I hate that. I didn't want to touch it for fear that the parent birds would stop taking care of it. I hope it's in birdie heaven.
